Couples Quiz

Long distance couples app for iPhone

Long distance couples games that bring you closer

Couples Quiz is a quiz game for two phones. You answer a question for yourself, then guess what your partner said. Every surprise turns into something to talk about, whether you share a sofa or live a few time zones apart.

How it works

One level, three steps, a lot to talk about

A level only takes a few minutes. You play it on your own, your partner plays it on theirs, and then you look at the results together.

  1. Answer for yourself

Each level has 8 to 12 questions about the two of you: your first date, your habits, money, family, the future. Answer honestly, not what sounds nice.

  2. Guess your partner

Then you guess how your partner answered. They do the same for you on their phone, whenever they find the time.

  3. See where you match

Once you both played, you see your Know Score and every answer side by side. A wrong guess is not a mistake. It is a surprise, and often the best conversation of the evening.

The games

Three games in every unit

Each unit mixes three kinds of levels, so it never turns into a questionnaire.

Know me?

Guess your partner's answer

Questions about you, and your partner guesses what you picked: the first thing you noticed about them, how grumpy you are in the morning, what you would do with a surprise bonus.

Know me? level: guessing the partner's answer, marked Spot on
Who's more likely?

Swipe to a fox

Short cards like "Who steals more of the blanket at night?" Swipe each card to the red or the golden fox. If you both pick the same fox, you score.

Same page?

The big questions

Money, home, kids and the future. You see where you agree and where it is worth talking a little longer, without it feeling like a serious talk.

Same page? question: if you raised a kid together, at what age should they get their first smartphone

Long distance

Made for two phones in two places

Most couple games assume you sit on the same sofa. Couples Quiz doesn't. Each of you plays on your own iPhone, at your own time, and the app keeps your answers in sync.

  • Play at different times. You don't need to be online together, so time zones, night shifts and busy weeks are fine.
  • Know when it's your turn. A notification tells you when your partner finished a level, and you can nudge them with one tap.
  • Connect in seconds with a 6 character code or a QR code. No account, no e-mail address.
  • Private by design. Only the two of you see your answers.
  • One purchase for both. If one of you gets Plus, the other one has it too.

Your path

60 levels, one evening at a time

The game is built like a language learning app: 10 units with 6 levels each, from your first sparks to your future together. Reach a Know Score of 60% to unlock the next level, collect up to three stars and keep your day streak going.

Parents and future parents

For couples who are, or want to be, parents

Two of the ten units are about family: Planning a Family and Parenting. How many kids feels right? When should a child get a first smartphone? Who would be the stricter parent?

It is a light way to find out how aligned you are, before a topic turns into a fight at 2 a.m. with a crying baby. If you want to go deeper, read our questions to ask before having kids.

Good to know

What Couples Quiz is not

No spicy questions

There is no sexual content. The questions are about your story, your everyday life and your plans, so you can play on the train or with friends around.

Not therapy

It is a game. It starts good conversations, but it doesn't replace a couples counselor when things are really difficult.

No feed, no chat, no ads

You don't post anything, nobody else sees your answers, and the app doesn't track you across other apps.

Not only for long distance

Couples who live together play it too: on the couch, each with their own phone, comparing answers afterwards.

FAQ

Questions about Couples Quiz

Is Couples Quiz a good app for long distance relationships?

Yes, that is what it is built for. Each of you plays on your own iPhone, at your own time. The answers sync, and a notification tells the other one when it is their turn. You don't need to be on a call together.

Do we both need the app?

Yes. Each of you installs Couples Quiz on your own iPhone and you connect with a 6 character code or a QR code. One purchase of Plus unlocks all levels for both of you.

How much does it cost?

The download is free and the onboarding includes a short demo round. To play the levels you need Couples Quiz Plus: a monthly subscription with a 7 day free trial, or a one time lifetime purchase. The app shows the prices in your currency.

Are there sexual or spicy questions?

No. Couples Quiz has no sexual content. The questions are about your story, your everyday life, money, family and your future, so you can play it anywhere.

Is Couples Quiz available for Android?

Not yet. Couples Quiz is an iPhone app for now.

Which languages does it support?

English and German. All 560 questions exist in both languages, so each of you can play in the language of your own iPhone.

Made by Caspar

Hi, I'm Caspar, an indie developer in Berlin, and I build Couples Quiz on my own. My partner and I tried a few couple apps, but what we enjoyed most was a small guessing game hidden inside them. So I built a whole game around it and tested it on our own phones.
